Moss Electrical Company Limited and Moss Electrical (SW) Company Limited are business units of Moss Electrical Holdings Limited (The Company) The Company is dedicated to the provision of electrical supplies to the electrical contracting industry. Our major environmental issues include the use of natural resources, the generation of waste, vehicle emissions and the release of contaminants into the air, ground and water and how this impacts on the community. The Company is committed to the continual improvement of the management and operation of our activities that impact on the environment.

Actively encouraging an environmentally responsible approach to buying and selling and to propose more sustainable alternatives where competitiveness allows and positive benefits can be realised. Training our employees, promoting environmental awareness and a recognition of the environmental effects of our work. Assessing the environmental aspects of our operational processes with a view to the prevention of air, ground, water and noise pollution and reducing waste. Reducing the use of all energy and products using materials from sources which can be shown to be environmentally sustainable and are either reusable or recyclable. Developing and reviewing our operational procedures and auditing for compliance to ensure standards are being maintained and, where necessary, take corrective action. Setting and regularly reviewing environmental targets and objectives which are achievable and realistic for our operation. Encouraging the adoption of similar environmental principles by the Company’s suppliers, trade contractors, customers and other parties. Operating a quality management system compliant with ISO9001 Complying with the requirements of the relevant environmental legislation and the approved codes of practice to which we work.

This policy statement responds to the directive issued by Robert Moss, Managing Director of the Company which is wholly supported by the Board of Directors who provide total commitment to our Environmental Management Systems (EMS). This EMS will be reviewed and updated to ensure it accurately reflects the Company’s policy and objectives.
