A UK leader in the distribution of electrical supplies
Moss Electrical in Dartford has joined the fight against breast cancer by taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign’s flagship fundraiser Wear it Pink day.
The money helps Breast Cancer Campaign fund around 100 projects across the UK and Ireland, dedicated to those who have been affected by the disease.
The Directors at Moss Electrical challenged its workers to mark the day and raise money and awareness by dressing pink, eating pink and living pink for one day.
Lindsay Goubel, Operations Director of Moss, said: “Breast cancer has recently touched the company and once the feelings of shock subsided, everyone wanted to show their support. Going pink Fridays seemed a perfect opportunity not only to raise some money for a great charity, but to also show our love and support. As a team we have faced some challenges over the years, but none greater than this one. Thank you to everyone for all their raffle prizes and donations and for just taking part. I am proud to say I "went pink" with you all”
Every year Wear it Pink raises over £2 million for breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK. One in eight women in the UK will be affected in her lifetime and around 50,000 women are diagnosed every year. This October, everyone can help us raise awareness of breast cancer and funds for life-saving research in a number of ways, from taking part in wear it pink.
