LEGRAND SPEEDS UP SWIFTS CABLE LADDER WITH FAST-FIT INNOVATION

Legrand has further enhanced the fast-fit capability of its Swifts cable ladder with the introduction of an innovative two part quick-fit fastener that halves the number of fixing components while retaining all of the product’s quality.

This latest development follows on from a complete redesign of the range’s fittings that had already reduced installation times when connecting fittings to lengths by over 50 per cent.  This was achieved through the introduction of integral couplers on all fittings that significantly reduced the number of components used across all three ladder solutions – medium duty Topaz, heavy duty Sapphire and extra heavy duty Emerald.

Matt Crunden, a marketing manager for Legrand’s cable management division, said: “One of the main reasons for our world leading position in the cable management market is our programme of continual product design and development, which ensures our solutions continue to stand-out from the competition.”

“Most recently we’ve sought to do this by reducing the total installed cost across our cable management range by significantly reducing installation time.”

Further evidence of this policy in practice was seen when Legrand’s new Salamandre distribution trunking was launched earlier this year and was independently proven to be 50 per cent quicker to install than its predecessor.

Fast-fit fastening devices have already proved popular with the company’s Swifts Easi-clip (CKP25), which makes installation of MRF cable tray on to channel support systems fast and economical in comparison with traditional fixing methods. While installation of Legrand’s Swifts SW wire cable tray is enhanced by the innovative Faslock, which is simply located in position before fixing tabs are bent to form a strong, secure bend.
