Wear it Pink 2016

Moss Electrical pledged their support for the UK’s biggest and pinkest fundraiser which calls for supporters to ditch their everyday attire and get pink to raise money for breast cancer research.

The event included bake sale, curry, an array of pink costumes and a raffle stocked with prizes donated from our generous suppliers.

Every year, wear it pink raises around £2 million during Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now. How? It’s simple – we just ask you to wear something pink and donate whatever you can. We use the money you raise to fund world-class breast cancer researchers across the UK and Ireland. Together, they’re working to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives.

Pretty in Pink

On 16th October 2015 Moss Electrical, in Dartford joined hundreds of thousands of people across the country – in school, at work, and at home – to stand together against breast cancer. Every year, wear it pink raises around £2 million during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, by asking people to wear something pink and donate whatever they can. Since the very first wear it pink event in 2002, the charity has raised over £27 million thanks to the generosity of many thousands of people taking part.

The money helps Breast Cancer Campaign fund around 100 projects across the UK and Ireland, dedicated to those who have been affected by the disease.

Breast cancer touches the lives of millions of us in the UK. For every woman or man who develops breast cancer, there are families, friends and loved ones who also feel the fear and uncertainty the disease brings. By wearing it pink you’ll be helping the 50,000 women and 350 men diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.

Look Good, Do Good & Wear it Pink!

Moss Electrical in Dartford has joined the fight against breast cancer by taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign’s flagship fundraiser Wear it Pink day.

The money helps Breast Cancer Campaign fund around 100 projects across the UK and Ireland, dedicated to those who have been affected by the disease.

The Directors at Moss Electrical challenged its workers to mark the day and raise money and awareness by dressing pink, eating pink and living pink for one day.

Lindsay Goubel, Operations Director of Moss, said: “Breast cancer has recently touched the company and once the feelings of shock subsided, everyone wanted to show their support. Going pink Fridays seemed a perfect opportunity not only to raise some money for a great charity, but to also show our love and support. As a team we have faced some challenges over the years, but none greater than this one. Thank you to everyone for all their raffle prizes and donations and for just taking part. I am proud to say I "went pink" with you all”

Every year Wear it Pink raises over £2 million for breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK. One in eight women in the UK will be affected in her lifetime and around 50,000 women are diagnosed every year. This October, everyone can help us raise awareness of breast cancer and funds for life-saving research in a number of ways, from taking part in wear it pink.

With an unmatched reputation for quality, reliability and innovation, the Moss brand is well known throughout the electrical wholesaling industry. Moss Electrical’s portfolio of Solar PV products was introduced to the Solar PV market for the first time at the Solar Energy UK Show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
