A UK leader in the distribution of electrical supplies
Moss Electrical gained it’s FORS Bronze accreditation back in 2013, a great achievement to both us as a company and the customers we supply. But that wasn’t enough! Our customers know we strive to be the best in what we do, so why stop there? We gained our FORS Silver accreditation in 2015 another great achievement.
Being FORS compliant has enabled Moss to demonstrate the high standards we provide to customers.
It’s now 2019, 4 years since we first reached Silver and we have decided to go for Gold! Watch this space for future updates on the Gold accreditation.
The EW Awards celebrated their second annual awards night in style at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in the heart of London, on Thursday 14th May 2015. The event, organised by the Electrical Wholesaler Magazine, hosted a glamourous turnout of the industries finest.
Ahead of this year’s Awards, companies from up and down the country submitted their entries in the hope to have a chance of winning, with up to 13 awards up for grabs. Moss Electrical was selected by a panel of independent judges for the innovation and impact of their customer service in relation to engagement, growth and product knowledge.
After careful deliberation, the judges whittled the contestants down to just a few worthy candidates: Moss Electrical was presented with the Best Electrical Wholesaler: 10 and Under Branches in recognition of its achievements and dedication to customer service. Our very own Jamie Ross was acknowledged for his contribution to the industry with the Branch Manager of the Year Award.
At the recent inaugural Supply Chain Awards dinner, Moss Electrical were awarded as one of Wates principal UK suppliers in recognition of their tireless efforts taken to help it provide clients with Innovation in Supply.
The evening took the form of a charity dinner at the Motorcycle Museum in Coventry and saw eight companies rewarded for their collaboration with Wates Group Ltd over the past year.
Over 45 companies attended the awards ceremony, which raised over £3,500 for Wates’ nominated charity, Shelter.
Dave Oates, Supply Chain Director for Wates Living Space, commented: “The awards initiative was largely motivated by our desire to further integrate our suppliers into Wates and for them to see themselves as an extension of our business. We want our whole supply chain to see how appreciative we are of the commitment provided to us and the effort taken to go that extra mile for our clients.
“We hope the recognition offered to the winners will serve to increase their market appeal and empower them to maintain their competitive position.”
Moss Electrical Co Ltd is bucking the trend in current difficult times by investing in service enhancements for customers rather than cutting back. Moss has increased the number of delivery routes and added four new vehicles to cater for its ever increasing customer base.
The team at Moss Electrical is committed to providing excellent, reliable service that customers can trust.
Chris Homer Commercial Director commented, “Our latest investment is part of a wider commitment to constantly improve our delivery vehicles in order to ensure that our customers benefit from the most reliable service available.

The launch event will introduce Arteor’s unique features and characteristics and will offer Electrical/Main Contractors, Designers & Specifiers the ability to ask questions and examine the product. The event will also include free food and beverages for all attendees and the opportunity to win a variety of prestigious prizes.
Moss Electrical have been selected by Legrand as a primary stockist of Arteor wiring devices in the UK. “Moss & Legrand represent a partnership between two leading brands with a shared passion for product innovation, design and creativity. We’re working with Moss to take wiring devices to a new level,” said Tony Grieg, Legrands CEO. “Moss Electrical’s success is down to its unbeatable service and ability to react quickly when opportunities present themselves. We are very excited with the appointment of Moss Electrical as a primary stockist of our Arteor Wiring Devices.”
From basic switches through to the most advanced home automation systems, the range offers an incredible array of stand-alone and system functions that make it the ideal choice for virtually any kind of project, whether commercial or residential.
Robert Moss, Managing Director of Moss Electrical said: “Arteor is the wiring device range that interior designers, home automation specialists, Electrical Contractors and end users have all been waiting for. It has absolutely everything in terms of looks, functionality and technical capability and is creating a real buzz amongst those who have already had the opportunity to take a close look at it.”
The range includes a host of innovative new products, including fully customizable lighting and scenario controls, a 10inch multimedia touch screen, and a universal dimmer capable of dimming all types of light sources, including compact fluorescent lamps and LEDs. In addition, the option of both BUS (wired) and ZigBee radio frequency home automation solutions means Arteor’s ‘smart’ capabilities can be easily interfaced with other systems.
“Considerable time and effort has gone into delivering a range that truly demonstrates why Legrand is the global leader in wiring devices,” explained Mark Evans, Marketing Director of Legrand. “Arteor combines hi-tech performance, elegance and ease of use and delivers what we feel will fast become an indispensable reference point in terms of product innovation and design.”
Another key element of Arteor’s appeal is its strong and instantly recognizable look. A unique bevelled profile gives the illusion that the product is not attached to the wall and helps create a light and floating sensation reminiscent of flat-screen design. In addition, all stand-alone control functions are available with two shapes of rockers - round or square - and in two colours - white or magnesium.
Arteor is available in 17 different finishes, ranging from simple yet stylish white moulded products through to sophisticated and innovative materials such as woven metal, leather, and tattoo, brushed steel and wood. The breadth of this choice is intended to ensure the range offers something for every area of any installation from high-end, high-profile locations, such as modern living rooms and boardrooms, through to more functional areas where products are less visible.
